- Control and platform software ECU, motor and microcontroller control; drivers and middleware; porting existing software.
- Displays, communications and IoT Instrument clusters, navigation and equipment GUIs, in-vehicle communications and device interfaces, and IoT/edge data integration.

From design and implementation

02 / WORKING TERMS

- Contract type and eligibility
- Independent contracting for freelancers and sole proprietors with practical experience in automotive and embedded development or infrastructure.
- Japanese proficiency and documentation

Non-Japanese nationals joining projects that require communication in Japanese must have Japanese proficiency at JLPT N2 level or higher.
Submitting a JLPT certificate is optional unless required by the project or client.
The Japanese proficiency requirement and certificate submission rules above do not apply to anyone who currently holds Japanese nationality, regardless of previous nationality.
- Indicative fees
- JPY 500,000–1,200,000 per month, excluding tax Fees vary with skills, experience, responsibilities and project conditions.
- Settlement range and payment
- 140–190 hours / Month-end closing, payment by the following month-end Specific settlement methods and other details are explained in the individual contract terms.
- Location and working arrangements
- Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba and Saitama. Work location, attendance arrangements, duration and responsibilities vary by project. Remote work and side-work opportunities are not universally available or guaranteed.
- Other working conditions
- If holiday or night work, emergency response or business travel is involved, we explain the work and conditions in advance.
This recruitment does not guarantee fees, project introductions or a contract. We confirm the individual conditions and proceed only with mutual agreement.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a skill sheet for my first inquiry?
No. Start with an overview of the technologies you use, your responsibilities and years of experience. After confirming the scope of sharing, we will provide our dedicated Google Form, which is in Japanese, for detailed documents. Submission requires Google sign-in and confirmation of the individual’s consent.
Can I inquire if I have experience with only some of the technologies?
Yes. You do not need experience with every technology listed. Tell us your strengths and project responsibilities. Our freelance opportunities are for people with practical experience.
Are remote work or side-work opportunities available?
Attendance and working conditions vary by project. You can tell us your preferences in the form, but we cannot promise the availability of remote work or side-work opportunities.
Can I inquire if I cannot start immediately?
Yes. Tell us your current preferences even if you have not decided when to start. Project availability, conditions and start dates are confirmed individually.
